Magazine Advertisements

Most magazines offer standard dimensions and printing Specifications (Colors, Bleeds) via their internal advertising department. Most companies design their advertisements according to the Magazines specifications and submit press ready art to the Magazine for page placement.

Many magazines offer information on 4 Color Process Printing, 2 Color Spot Printing, and Black And White Printing Set Up.

Web Banners

Web banners are a popular revenue generating method for websites. Banner sizes and prices vary from Site to site, but some standars are developing. (See example below.) Still or animated web banners are designed to these specs and uploaded to websites through an advertising administrator.

Outdoor & Large Format: Billboard and Transit Advertising

Outdoor signage is displayed in public spaces and it meant to be a high impact and quickly communicated visual message. Popular locations for outdoor advertisements are Bus Stops as well as on public busses and transportation. Another space utilized as ad space is public park benches

The messages in these mediums are read by people on the move, and should simple, and utilize a clear typograpical hierarchy allow the message to be read quickly, and clean bold imagery with high constrast and clear definition. Most outdoor ads are read in a matter of seconds, and should provoke curiosity and interest as much as they should inform.
